The Structural Biology and Genomics platform is an open platform which has played an important role within the european SPINE and Spine2Complexes networks. The Platform is part of the Strasbourg Alsace-Lorraine Genopole and the Grand-Est Cancéropole. The platform has been inventoried as RIO platform in 2003 and 2006 and as IBiSA platform in 2008.
The Platform, located in Illkirch (C. U. Strasbourg), is open to academic and industrial users.  Projects may be deposited via the web site and will be examined by the Platform Steering Committee (PSC).
The Platform has been implemented within the Integrative Structural Biology program (IGBMC – C.U. Strasbourg) which is involved into structural genomics projects aiming at solving crystal structures of protein families members, alone or in complex with co-factors and protein partners, related to human health.
The Platform offers facilities for:

protein production of selected candidates,

protein purification and characterization,

automated crystallization screening,

3D structure determination.
